1. Why do you prefer Glucosamine Sulfate over Glucosamine HCL?
The Taste! Glucosamine HCL can have a Bitter Aftertaste and Glucosamine Sulfate Does Not! If anything Glucosamine Sulfate has a slightly sweet aftertaste. Feeding anything with a bitter aftertaste to an animal can be a problem, especially with dogs and cats! That's why commercial companies "doctor up" the taste of their products to get the animals to take it. Glucosamine Sulfate requires no "doctoring" at all since it is both odorless and tasteless. This takes the worry out of feeding it so you can simply add it to their food. Also, no "doctoring" makes it less expensive to feed!
2. Why do you use only Pharmaceutical Quality Ingredients?
It's the Best Quality! As a Therapist I know that any nutrient, no matter how good it is, is useless unless it can be absorbed properly and used by the body. The Higher Quality Glucosamine and Herbs are easily absorbed and require No carrying agent to be fully used by the body. They are also Lab Tested to insure purity. That is why I will only buy my Glucosamine and Herbs from highly reputable companies that sell only the highest grade products available! Unfortunately most animal products are not high quality, in fact a lot of animal products are often made with ingredients that are not fit for human consumption. I feel if I can't use it, neither will my pet and if it's not Pharmaceutical Quality, who knows what quality it is!
3. Why do you prefer to use 100% Glucosamine with no fillers or additives in your Ultra Flex GS?
I prefer to use only pure products because fillers can often interfere with absorption. Ultra Flex GS is an excellent stand alone product because it has everything in it that you need to maintain healthy joints and is completely available to the system in it's pure state. It is odorless and has no bitter aftertaste so animals can not detect it in their food, making it easier to feed. That also makes it cheaper to feed because you are not paying for a lot of extra ingredients you don't really need!
4. Why are Single Herbs better than Multi Herb Blends?
When using Medicinal Herbs it is best to choose the one that best fits the situation. That way you are getting the full benefit from that herb, not just a dilution of it. For example, if you were using an herbal blend with 10 different herbs in it and only 3 really fit your situation, that blend would only be 30% effective for you. You would then need to take 3 times the amount to get the desired effects. But since you don't know the ratios of the formula, that could be unsafe to do. But if you just picked the one that was the best remedy for your problem, you would have best results and have them 3 times faster because now you would be feeding the correct dose, not a dilution of it.
5. What if the horse has two different problems?
If there isn't one herb that could cover both problems then you would feed the two herbs that were best for each individual situation. For example, let's say you are retraining an extremely moody and spooky 4 year old TB mare who just got off the track and would like nothing better then to run you over and then have you for lunch. You would want to give her both the Ultra Calm Equine and Ultra EZ Mare, each in it's normal dose to cover her symptoms until she improved and then adjust from there.
6. Why do you prefer Glucosamine Sulfate over Chondroitin Sulfate?
Chondroitin Sulfate is more expensive and absorbs very poorly when taken orally, only 25 - 30%. Glucosamine on the other hand is almost completely absorbed and since Glucosamine and Chondroitin do the same thing in the body I see no reason to waste money feeding Chondroitin Sulfate. Also extensive studies over the years have consistently shown Glucosamine Sulfate to be the superior product when taken orally. It is truly the best stand alone Oral Joint Care Product!
7. Why are some of the other Glucosamine products so much more expensive?
That's the million dollar question and I don't know why! Glucosamine is not an overly expensive product! Granted, I waste no money on unnecessary fancy packaging and since there are no fillers, there's no wasted money there! But that doesn't explain why most of the commercial Dog GS products are more expensive to feed than the Horse GS products. Last time I looked horses were bigger than dogs! But after doing comparisons with some of the popular Dog and Cat GS products I found that some of them cost as much as 25 times more per gram than my Ultra Flex GS. That's Ridiculous! This is why I am now offering my Ultra Flex GS to dog owners so that they can save a substantial amount of money while keeping their dogs joints healthy and pain free for as little as 3¢ a day for a small dog.
But be aware that some of the cheaper products out there are cheaper because they are actually a lower quality product. That is why I will only buy my Glucosamine and Herbs from very reputable companies which sell only superior quality products which are lab tested to insure purity.
